In May 2025, tourism activities in Ninh Binh recorded many positive signals with a series of outstanding events, attracting a large number of locals and tourists. Notable among them were art programs during the April 30 – May 1 holiday such as: “Heritage for Life,” the Vietnam 2025 Conical Hat Festival, and the Melody Show art program at Hoa Lu Ancient Town… creating a cultural and artistic space rich in identity.
Particularly, the 2025 Ninh Binh Tourism Week with the theme “Golden Colors of Tam Coc – Trang An,” held at the end of May in the Tam Coc tourist area, became a highlight, contributing to the promotion of the outstanding values of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex – a World Cultural and Natural Heritage site.
In addition, the event of escorting the relics of Shakyamuni Buddha from Tam Chuc Pagoda to Bai Dinh Pagoda (May 21–23) also attracted tens of thousands of devotees and visitors for pilgrimage.
Outstanding Results in May and the First Six Months of 2025:
In May, the province welcomed an estimated 1.01 million visitors, an increase of 38.52% compared to the same period last year.
Tourism revenue in May reached nearly VND 1,070 billion, more than 1.5 times higher than in May 2024.
In total, in the first six months, Ninh Binh is estimated to have received 7.2 million visitors, an increase of 17.76% year-on-year; total revenue reached nearly VND 7,700 billion, up 32.41%, achieving nearly 77% of the annual plan.
Service types such as accommodation, transportation, dining, souvenir sales, etc., all recorded strong growth from 27% to nearly 50%, affirming the appeal and strong recovery of the local tourism industry.
Along with organizing events, the provincial tourism sector continues to focus on ensuring public order and safety, environmental sanitation, upgrading infrastructure, and promoting civilized tourism communication to enhance the experience and satisfaction of both domestic and international tourists.
