On May 23, Ninh Binh officially opened Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2026 at Dinh Tien Hoang Emperor Square under the theme “Ninh Binh – A Heritage Journey Through the Ages.” The event marked the beginning of one of the province’s most important annual cultural and tourism celebrations, welcoming thousands of visitors, tourism leaders, artists, photographers, and international guests.

The opening ceremony featured a large-scale artistic program that brought together music, dance, visual storytelling, and traditional cultural performances. Through a series of emotional and visually striking performances, the program highlighted the rich history, natural beauty, and cultural identity of Ninh Binh — a land where heritage continues to thrive alongside modern development.

Known as one of Vietnam’s leading heritage destinations, Ninh Binh is home to world-renowned attractions including Trang An Landscape Complex, Southeast Asia’s first mixed UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as Tam Coc – Bich Dong, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital,  Tran Temple Complex, Bai Dinh Pagoda, Tam Chuc Pagoda, Xuan Thuy National Park, and Cuc Phương National Park. Together, these destinations create a unique tourism landscape where nature, spirituality, and history are deeply connected.

A highlight of the tourism week is the famous golden rice season in Tam Coc, when the rice fields along the Ngo Dong River turn brilliant shades of gold. This seasonal beauty has become an iconic image of Ninh Binh tourism and continues to attract photographers and travelers from around the world.

Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy a variety of cultural and tourism activities, including traditional folk performances, cultural festivals, art exhibitions, music events, and community experiences designed to celebrate the province’s heritage and creativity.

More than just a tourism destination, Ninh Binh today represents a living heritage landscape — a place where history, culture, and everyday life continue to coexist in harmony. Through Tourism Week 2026, the province hopes to offer visitors a deeper and more meaningful connection to the spirit of Vietnam’s ancient capital while sharing the beauty of Ninh Binh with the world.
