Duc Thanh Nguyen Temple Festival takes place on 8th to 10th day of March in lunar calendar annually

The festival is a commemoration of Saint Nguyen Minh Khong, a person of Gia Vien area. The main ritual consists of water-carrying procession from Hoang Long River to the temple and “luc khuc, nam quan and nu quan” ceremonies, etc. The festival is marked with traditional games including tug of war, 32-piece chess, cock-fighting, volleyball, etc.
